In the folk tale” Coyote kills the Giant”, the main character is trying to kill the monster that eats everyone that goes into his mouth. The coyote is trying to be the hero who would jump out and save the world by killing the monster. If the coyote didn’t kill the monster and rescue the people inside the monster’s stomach, there might be more victims that would die. The fold tale’s moral tells the readers that if there’s no one willing to save the world by risking their lives, there would be more people that might die or injured. When kids read about folk tales like this story, the monster that kills civilians always have a bad ending, and there’s no exception in this story as well. The coyote saved the people walking around the forest. If he listened to the advice and stopped walking towards the monster, the people inside the monster’s stomach might never be rescued and died because of hunger. There are always morals telling kids that all the good and brave people can complete the most dangerous tasks and be the hero that saves the lives of other people in the story.
