Omniscient POV

The story may be kind of different if it is told from Jerry’s mother’s point of view. Jerry’s mother is always worried about what her son is doing, but on the other hand, she also doesn’t want him to fell limited with his freedom. We can’t really see the curiosity that is in Jerry’s mind if the story was told from her point of view. I would say that it wouldn’t be as interesting as the one we have now because we wouldn’t know what Jerry is doing when he was with the big boys away from his mother. The story would only show what Jerry’s mother was doing and thinking instead of all the dangerous adventures Jerry had faced when he was diving and swimming under the sea. The omniscient point of view was one of the great factors that make this story fascinating. It would just be a bored and plain story if it was told from the mother’s point of view. If the story has a third person limited narrator, then we wouldn’t be bale to understand the feelings each characters has. Feeling is something that we cannot see or feel if it is a limited narrator story. The original story was mainly focusing on Jerry’s perspective and some of his mother’s point of view.
